Registration for Bearspaw Preschool is open to all Calgary and area children ages 3 and 4.
Registration is on a first come first serve basis.
Apply for a spot at the Bearspaw Preschool & JK by completing the registration form and indicating your class choices.
Once you have been given your space in class, you will be sent a confirmation email with details on deposit and registration payment details as well as any additional intake forms.
Upon completing all required forms and submitting and required payment-related items, your spot at the Bearspaw Preschool & JK will be confirmed and you will be fully registered!

Afternoon Session: 12:30PM – 2:30PM

Afternoon Session: 12:30PM – 3:25PM
Please Note: There is always some movement in class enrolments. Children are often moved off the waitlist and into a class. Please do not be discouraged based on the spaces available, more may come open over the summer or sooner.
Child must turn 3 prior to the end of the December.
Child must turn 4 prior to the end of December.
All children must be fully potty trained to enter school. If there is a medically related issue related to this, please Contact Us.
Registration Priority will be determined as per the priority levels indicated below:
1. RETURNING STUDENTS: children who are currently enrolled in the preschool.
2. ALUMNI: siblings of children currently or previously enrolled in the Preschool.
Open registration for the current year commences in January of the calendar year with a date to be determined by the Board.
Alumni registration for the 2023-2024 school year begins January 14, 2023.
Open Registration for the 2023-2024 school year begins January 21, 2023.
After the pre-registration and open registration dates, any new registrations will be processed on a first come basis for any remaining spots.
In the event more applications are received than spots available positions will be filled as positions become available.
A student may only be enrolled in one class per day. As per the Alberta Child Care Licensing Act, the Preschool can only provide a maximum of four hours of instructional time per child per day.
Registrants will be notified by email if their child has been accepted into the Preschool. Registrants choosing to accept placement at the Preschool must complete the registration process by fulfilling all requirements as per the Fee Policy and provide all required signed waivers and forms. Failure to comply with any of the registration requirements may result in the child’s place being released.
Once registered, cancellation will result in the forfeiture of the non-refundable registration fee. In addition, cancellation after August 1 and before the school year will result in forfeiture of one month’s tuition as well as the registration fee.
Cancellations during the school year requires one month’s written notice to the Board. Failure to provide sufficient notice will results in forfeiture of the next month’s tuition.
If a child is withdrawn for a period of time (i.e.: vacation), fees must be paid to maintain the child’s placement in the program.
The Preschool reserves the right to discontinue a child for reasons of non-payment of fees or inability of a child or parent to adjust to the program. If a child is discontinued the parent will not forfeit the next month’s tuition.
Verbal abuse towards the Teaching Staff or Board Members will not be tolerated. The Board reserves the right to ask a family to withdraw a child from the program if abuse is reported. If a child is withdrawn by the Board, the parent will not forfeit the next month’s tuition.
